We think of our winemaker, Gary Brookman, as the perfect combination of artistry, experience and discipline. Gary is the head winemaker at Miner Family Winery. His experience included winemaking at Phelps for 13 years and Franciscan Oakville Estate for 2 years, before he took the reins at Miner Family in 1997.

In 2001 Gary was invited by Dick Grace to make the wines for the prestigious Grace Family Vineyards, and he accepted. We feel very fortunate that our relationship with Gary and Miner Family is well established. While Miner Family is reducing its custom crush clients to make more room for its own production, it is our mutual commitment to excellence, our friendship with Gary and Miner's interest in our unique grapes that is the foundation of what we view as a very successful and satisfying relationship.
